With an investment larger than $ 800 million and a planned capacity of 419 MW, Flat Ridge project by British Petroleum and U.S. Sempra Gas & Power will become the largest wind farm in the state of Kansas , without doubt a significant investment in renewable energy.
Between the most significant benefits this project will bring to the mentioned state, is the capacity to supply electricity to more than 125.000 homes through clean technologies that promote low carbon emissions.
Siemens Transformers Mexico was chosen to supply 4 power transformers of 84/112/140 MVA; 345 kV, whose deliveries will be soon fulfilled.
In addition to these units the wind farm will require the supply of 262 wind power turbines with a capacity of 1.6 MW.
