Siemens Transformers strengthens its presence in Canada

Siemens Transformers was chosen by ATCO Electric as a supplier for manufacturing 6 power transformers for the projects: Dog Rib 20825, Bohn 9315, Beartrap 9405, Kettle River 20495 and Buchannan Creek which are part of a development plan of the new transmission facilities in Fort McMurray, Alberta, Canada.

The characteristic of the units that will be manufactured in Guanajuato, México are the following:

1-     Substation; 30/40/50 MVA; 144/25 Kv

2-     Substation; 15/20/25 MVA; 114/4.16 kV

1-     Substation; 15/2025 MVA; 144/25 Kv

2-     Autotransformers; 120/160/200 MVA; 240/144 Kv

Because of the need to increase the capacity of the electric system in Alberta, these projects are part of the planning to achieve a sustainable industrial development besides to satisfy the increasing demand of electricity in that region.
