Eng Miguel Salvatierra
Mechanical Design Chief

Born in the Chavarin, Colima, Eng. Miguel Salvatierra studied Industrial Engineering in the National Polytechnic Institute.

On March 1st, 1982, he arrived to our factory as a production and maintenance planner and thanks to his impeccable performance, two years later he was invited for being part of the Mechanical Design Engineering team.

His compromise and work are excellent, example of this are the two 375 MVA power transformers currently located in Tuxpan I and II substations in Veracruz, Mexico, whose designs were done on 1984 and at this time they are still operating.

This year Siemens Transformers Guanajuato celebrate the 30 collaboration years of Eng Salvatierra that during this period has designed more than 800 power transformers.

His experience has contributed greatly to be considered one of the most valuable employees inside our enterprise.

Miguel Salvatierra believes that the knowledge must be shared, for many years and besides to his role as Mechanical Design chief he has being a tutor for his team: young engineers who are drawing a professional life of the hand of one of the best engineers.

The Pesqueria project by Ternium is one of the last projects in which he has worked; two 80 MVA units that will be delivered in Nuevo Leon, Mexico, definitively a great challenge that is considering like a part of the multiples achieves of this designer.
